Leadership Skills



To Lead or Not to Lead

Lead, a simple four letter word with a beau cop of possible meanings. One meaning is to guide, another is to direct. But when a person carries this out, then that person is called a leader. A lot f things makes its way into our mind when we hear the word "Leader" for instance the word admirable pops up into our mind, and on a negative note corrupt pops up too; there are a myriad of words to describe this. Being a leader comes with great responsibilities and he or she must posses exceptional leadership skills. But what are leadership skills? are they learned? are they immanent? or are they created?

These are the top five traits we think a leader must posses. 


The leader's character is one of the most important traits in being a one. A leader should be trustworthy to lead others. The leader's character reflects the entire state of the society. 


A leader must posses good communication skills to understand the member's viewpoints and perspectives and he or she must be responsive to the organization's needs. A leader must have the willingness to do so to lead the organization to the right direction.


A leader must know the purpose, goal, vision ans mission of the organization. By knowing these inside and out you will become an effective leader.


A leader is strong, decisive, courageous and humble. Being humble doesn't mean you are weak but rather it shows that you are willing to admit your mistakes and learn from it to become a better leader and it also shows that you acknowledge the value of others.

Commitment 

And lastly a leader must posses commitment. He or she must be committed to earn the team's respect and this also drives the team's energy and willingness to work harder seeing their leader being committed. A Leader must lead by example.

The Law of Superb Execution

 The Law of Superb Execution states that a good leader must commit to achieving peak performance.

The Law of Integrity 

 The Law of Integrity states that peak performance comes to you when you choose to live your life consistent with your highest values and your deepest convictions


The Law of Ambition

The Law of Ambition states that since a good leader has an intense desire to lead; he has a clear vision of a better future, which he is determined to realize.

These are the laws and skills a leader must embody and possess.
